The Drew Schultz Funk Machine reunites, and brings with them Melvin Davis, the Detroit Soul Ambassador. Melvin is a prolific songwriter, singer, drummer, and producer who has played drums on Smokey Robinson & The Miracles "Tears of a Clown," written songs for artists including Mavis Staples, The Dirtbombs, J.J. Barnes, Steve Mancha, and more, sang lead on the platinum selling 8th Day smash "Crawl Before You Walk," and performed/recorded with Wayne Kramer of the MC5. This show celebrates Drew's Back To Class series, which has featured a jawdropping roster of soul music legends including Melvin, as well as the release of Melvin's newest record "Double or Nothing."
